Heping Chen

Heping Chen received B.S. degree in Control System Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, China in 1989, M.Eng. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 1999, and  Ph.D.  in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Michigan State University, Michigan in 2004. Currently, Dr. Chen is an associate professor at the Ingram School of Engineering, Texas State University, USA. He worked as a research scientist and project manager at ABB Corporate Research Center about 6 years. He received more than 10 Best Paper Awards/Highly Commended Awards including the Best Paper Award from the IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering. He received the Most Outstanding Graduate Student Award from Michigan State University. He is an IEEE Senior member from 2006 and has served in many international conferences as general co-chair, program chair and program co-chair etc. His research interests include intelligent industrial robotics, machine learning, wafer handling robotics, manufacturing automation, machine vision, manufacturing process automation,  nanomanufacturing and nanorobotics.
